Why Upgrade to a Genius HUB-D?

The new Genius Hub has the following improvements:

It contains a battery backup - This is useful for if there is a power cut for a few hours as the battery-powered devices continue to communicate, rather than go into hibernation mode. Also, it allows the Genius Hub to be moved around the property should you need to add a device to the Genius Hub.
Future proofing - All devices both old and new are compatible with the new HUB, and it is the only new Genius HUB that is compatible with the communications adapter, meaning you can use our new Radiator Valves.
Upgraded chip - Making it much faster than any previous HUB.
There are a number of security improvements incorporated into the new Genius Hub.
There is a better radio module and antenna design, which improves range and communication reliability.
The new design looks significantly better and allows for it to be mounted on a wall.
It will soon support Wi-Fi. All of the new Genius Hubs contain the Wi-Fi hardware, but this is currently not switched on.
