If you have a house with thick walls or a very large house, we recommend that the Genius Hub is located in direct range of the Single Channel Receiver or Dual Channel Receiver. This means that if any of the Smart Plugs used to boost the signal become unplugged, the Genius Hub can still keep control of your boiler.
The Genius Hub requires a power supply and an internet connection via an Ethernet cable. To get the internet into another room, you can use a power line adapter, which uses the mains wiring in the property to carry the internet connection from one room to another. These adapters usually come in a pair: one is plugged in next to the broadband router, and the other can be plugged in in any room where you want the internet.
