If a device is currently out of action, you can assign a temporary temperature source to ensure the zone continues to operate while you wait for the replacement.
To do this:

Go to the zone you want to assign the backup device to.

Click on the Zone sub-menu, then select Zone Setup.

Click Assign device.

Click Show details (above the list of devices).

Locate the device you wish to assign a channel from.

The device number will have been displayed during the inclusion process, or you can find it on a sticker if it was part of your original system.

Select the appropriate channel from the device and click Assign.

Once your replacement device arrives, you can remove the temporary assignment by clicking the trash icon next to the assigned node.
NOTE: This will only remove the temporary assignment—it will not delete the device or affect any original settings.
