Solution ID: 7452

Step 1

To remove the Genius Radiator Valve from the system, it needs to be powered on and in range of the Genius Hub.

To add the device, ideally this is within direct range of the Genius Hub (either in the same room as each other, or adjacent rooms).

If the devices are not close enough together:

1. Unmount the Genius Radiator Valve from the radiator.

This video shows how to remove and refit the Genius Radiator Valve .

2. Move the Genius Hub closer to the Genius Radiator Valve. The Genius Hub must have power and an Internet connection. This can be done by:

a) Using a long Ethernet cable
b) Plugging the Hub into a different Ethernet switch
c) Using a Power Line Ethernet adaptor or WiFi booster which has an Ethernet port ( see this link for how to connect the hub with a power-line Ethernet adaptor )

Alternatively, click here, if the device has failed/is no longer in the property

Step 2

Now the Genius Hub needs to get ready to remove the device.

The Doctor will remove the device

Step 3

Press and release the middle /o\ button.

The letters or numbers on the screen of the valve are not important at this point.

If the device has excluded successfully, when the middle button is pressed once more the backlight will begin to flash.

The Doctor will communicate with the device
