Step 1

Factory resetting a device removes it from any Genius Hub and removes any custom settings. It does not require a Genius Hub to power powered on/in communications range.

Ensure that the Wireless Room Thermostat has working batteries installed.

Step 2

Remove the Genius Room Thermostat from the wall by sliding it up against the back plate.

Turn the device over, so you are looking at the back and remove one of the batteries.

Step 3

Press and hold the top button and while doing so, re-insert the removed battery until the LED flashes red or comes on continuously (approx. 5 seconds). As you holding down the top button, all of the icons will appear on the screen briefly, before disappearing leaving only the backlight. Keep your finger on the button for a further 5 seconds.

Release the top button and the measured temperature should appear.

Remove one of the batteries, wait 10 seconds and refit the battery.

If you have successfully factory reset the thermostat, then when you press and release the top right LED button it will flash green quickly with an antenna flashing.
