The following explains how to apply an offset temperature to the Wireless Radiator Valve (Genius Valve).

  • Sometimes a Genius Valve can think the room it is situated in is warmer than it is, or indeed cooler, which usually happens when the valve is located in either a draughty or a tight space i.e. behind a heavy curtain, behind a large piece of furniture or close to a doorway. The Valve Hidden Offset feature is one way to deal with any discrepancies that you may have noticed; for example if you have multiple valves in the same room, you may have noticed that one radiator turns off sooner than another which could be a cause of where the valve is located; or you may have noticed that the room never appears to reach the target temperature you set on the app.

In order to adjust the temperature that the troublesome valve is controlling to you can apply a 'hidden offset’ to it.

    To apply the adjustment:

    1. Go to the 'Menu' then 'Settings'
    2. Select 'Devices'
    3. Select the Genius Valve in the room you want to adjust
    4. Go to 'Valve Hidden Offset'
    5. Set your adjustment as follows
    • To make the radiator heat up more put a plus value in

    • To reduce the heat put a minus value in

For an accurate adjustment, you can look at your charts; the difference between the red line and the green line is the amount you want to apply.

    • If the red line (measured temperature) is above the green line (target temperature), you use a -ve value which causes the valve to put less heat into the room.
    • If the red Line (the measured temperature) is below the green Line (the target temperature), you apply a +ve value which causes the valve to put more heat into the room.

Naturally, if you have multiple Genius valves in one room, you can select individual adjustments for each radiator.
