The following explains how to send the standard configuration messages to the Genius Radiator Valve to ensure that it is communicating correctly with the Genius hub.
Sometimes a Genius Radiator Valve may lose the factory settings which were applied to it when it was added to the system. This can occur when the batteries have been changed in the device. When the Genius Radiator Valve has the incorrect configuration messages it can communicate with the Genius Hub too often, which leads to the batteries not lasing as long. For the Genius Radiator Valve (with the 'G' on the top as in the image below), this can also cause it to not report back the calculated temperature to the Genius Hub. When the device is reconfigured the wake-up interval is reset back to 7 minutes 30 seconds. |
First locate the radiator valve in the room you want to adjust.
|
The Genius Radiator Valve now needs to be configured by the Genius Hub to ensure the correct behaviour and communication.
|
To ensure that the messages get through to the device, it needs to be woken up.
Wake up the device by short pressing one of the arrow buttons once. |
Check the device has communicated by looking at the time next to the Genius Radiator Valve on the Devices page.

Note: If you have multiple Genius Radiator Valves in one room, you can select individual adjustments for each radiator. |
