The following explains how to apply an offset temperature to the Genius Radiator Valve.
Troubleshooting step |
---|
Sometimes a Genius Radiator Valve can think the room it is situated in is warmer than it is, or indeed cooler, which usually happens when the valve is located in either a draughty or a tight space i.e. behind a heavy curtain, behind a large piece of furniture or close to a doorway. The Valve Hidden Offset feature is one way to deal with any discrepancies that you may have noticed; for example if you have multiple valves in the same room, you may have noticed that one radiator turns off sooner than another which could be a cause of where the valve is located; or you may have noticed that the room never appears to reach the target temperature you set on the app. |

In order to adjust the temperature that the troublesome valve is controlling to you can apply an 'hidden offset’ to it. • To increase the heat provided by the Genius Radiator Valve (if the valve is under-reading the temperature) put in a larger value (move the slider to the right). • To reduce the heat provided by the Genius Radiator Valve (if the valve is over-reading the temperature) put in a negative value (move the slider to the left).
• If the red line (measured temperature) is below the green line (set temperature), the valve is under-reading the temperature and you will want to move the slider right.
